REVE ACADEMY
FRAMEWORK FOR GATHERING FEEDBACK
Project Overview
Reve Academy is a non-profit organization that prepares youth for digital careers through summer and after-school programming. In preparing to begin a new entrepreneurship program, they wanted to make sure student voices were incorporated into the design and development of the curriculum.
I and a team of 3 other designers, conducted contextual and user research, developed a design strategy and created a digital platform as a way to assist Reve Academy in engaging students in program planning.
Methods: Deep Dive, Competitive Audit, Design Thinking Workshop, Fly on the Wall Observations, and Interviews.
Tools: Sketch, Keynote, Google Docs, and Invision.
Deliverable: E-Book including curriculum suggestions and design thinking workshop template, annotated wireframes and digital platform prototype
Researching - gaining context and finding opportunity
To learn more about the way in which Reve Academy was already engaging students and gathering feedback as well as potential opportunities we begin developing a research plan. To gather these insights, we conducted user interviews, facilitated a design thinking workshop, fly-on-the-wall observations, and deep dive research.
Prototyping - research becomes a template
By hosting a Design Thinking workshop to learn what Reve Academy students, staff, and stakeholders wanted to see in the upcoming entrepreneurship program, we created a prototype and model, that Reve Academy can continue to use as a way to engage students in actively contributing to program planning.
Solutions - a framework for feedback
From our research our team developed an E-Book that includes our recommendations for Reve Academy as well as a digital platform that allows students to provide feedback to curriculum and course plans.
